Smart Blue Regions: the first Project Development Workshop

On August 13-14 in Gdańsk, the workshop dedicated to the development of an international project based on the idea of ​​a multi rotor system was held. It was the first of the workshops planned within the framework of the Smart Blue Regions project to support transnational innovative ventures that fit into the blue smart specializations of the Baltic regions. So far, 20 topics have been identified in the course of the SBR project.

The organizer of the workshop was the Maritime Institute in Gdańsk, supported by the Association „Pomorskie in the European Union”. It was attended by project initiators, Maciej Karczewski and Piotr Domagalski, and scientists and entrepreneurs from Germany (Arnoldus van Wingerde, IWES Fraunhofer), Great Britain (Peter Jamieson, University of Strathclyde) and Poland (Goetz Linzenmeier, Zbigniew Ziegert, Aluship Ltd.) invited to cooperate with them. and Paweł Mawduk (independent consultant). The two-day meeting was aimed at identifying the interests of individual partners, detailing the scope of the project and preliminary development of a road map for the process of applying for funds for its implementation.

The partners benefited from logistical and substantive support offered as part of the Smart Blue Regions project and they will take part in an international conference summarizing the project in January 2019 in Berlin, where they will be able to present their venture more widely.
